ABOUT ME
You may have wondered by my "domain name" and here it is, I am adopted from China. That is why I chose to name my website "theadoptedtraveller". I was adopted at the age of 2, and I was raised in a very large and fun-loving family. In 2001 my mom, brother, sister, and I went back to China and lived there for 3 months. During this time we all learned about the everyday life of Chinese people, and what it would have been like if I wasn't adopted. We were fortunate to have friends living in different parts of the world, like Japan, England, and America so I learned the joy of travelling at a very young age.
I enjoy finding that balance of going to see all things "touristy", alongside going off the beaten path, exploring cities and cultures on a deeper level. There really is so much more you can do and see by talking with the locals and sharing meals.

I have always enjoyed travelling with friends and family, but equally I enjoy travelling as an independent person. This website is to show you my journey as I grow as a travel professional. I will post all my travel adventures (my next update will be from my time in Taiwan). I'll write about my thoughts, and feelings about a destination, and we will look into each destinations traditional foods. I hope you connect with me , and let me know what other things you wish to know or learn more about.
